CEO Spotlight Interview
Viven, The Digital Twins of Employees
Ashutosh Garg, CEO & Co-Founder, Viven
Co-Founder Background
Ashutosh Garg is a repeat founder and technologist who has spent the past two decades building AI platforms that help people do their best work. After leading product and research teams at Google Search, he co-founded BloomReach and then Eightfold AI, where deep learning was applied to talent management. Throughout that journey, a consistent pain point emerged: when key people are unavailable, decisions stall, context is lost, and teams slow down. That inspired Ashutosh and his longtime co-founder Varun Kacholia to start Viven — with a vision of a world where everyone has a Digital Twin, an intelligent personal model trained on their real work, so progress never stops.

The Founding of Viven
Viven was born from a pattern Ashutosh observed across two decades of building AI platforms: institutional knowledge is fragile. It lives in the heads of key people — and when those people are unavailable, organizations grind to a halt. After co-founding BloomReach and Eightfold AI, Ashutosh teamed up again with longtime co-founder Varun Kacholia to tackle this problem directly. Their answer is the Digital Twin — an intelligent, personal model trained on an individual's real work, capturing the context, decisions, and expertise that would otherwise walk out the door. The vision is a world where progress never stops, regardless of who is online.

The Problems Being Solved with Digital Twins
Viven's Digital Twins capture each individual's institutional memory — emails, docs, meeting notes, decisions — and make it instantly searchable and shareable, with strict pair-wise privacy controls. Customers like Genpact have already deployed thousands of Twins and report 50% faster onboarding and materially quicker decision-making across time zones. By turning knowledge into an always-on asset, Viven helps organizations move faster, break down silos, and keep momentum even when people are offline.

The platform is designed with privacy at its core — pair-wise controls ensure individuals retain ownership of their own context while enabling seamless collaboration across teams. Whether it is accelerating onboarding, speeding up cross-timezone decisions, or preserving the expertise of departing employees, Viven makes organizational knowledge a durable, scalable asset rather than a fragile, person-dependent one.
A Future-Forward Partnership: Viven and Tau Ventures
Tau has been more than a capital partner — they've been connectors and champion storytellers. From advising on go-to-market strategy to amplifying Viven's launch across their 5,000-strong network, the team has consistently opened doors that matter. Ashutosh is especially excited about upcoming Fund III partnership discussions and the chance to co-host thought-leadership events showcasing real-world Digital Twin success stories to the broader Tau community.
